This Privacy Policy explains how Steps2Close ("Steps2Close," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information through our website and application (the "Service"). It applies to real estate agents who create an account ("Realtors") and to the buyers and sellers a Realtor invites into a transaction ("Clients"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
From Realtors. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, brokerage/business information, and any profile photo or logo you upload. If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing is handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we do not store your full card number ourselves.
From Clients. A Realtor may enter a Client's name, email address, phone number, property address, and transaction details (such as key dates and amounts) in order to generate that Client's private guide. Clients do not create their own account or password — they access their guide through a unique link.
Automatically collected. Like most web services, our hosting and monitoring providers (described below) automatically log basic technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited — for security, debugging, and reliability purposes.
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Each Client guide is accessible through a unique, hard-to-guess link rather than a login. Anyone who has that link can view the guide, so Clients (and Realtors sharing the link) should treat it like they would any private document and avoid posting it publicly.
We retain account and transaction information for as long as a Realtor's account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping and legal purposes. A Realtor can delete an individual transaction at any time from their dashboard.
Realtors can review and update their account and branding information at any time from within the app. A Client who wants information corrected or removed should contact their Realtor directly, or reach us at the email below and we'll help facilitate that request.
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect information handled by the Service. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Steps2Close is intended for use by licensed real estate professionals and their adult clients. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
