These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Steps2Close (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Steps2Close is a transaction-tracking tool that helps real estate agents ("Realtors") keep their buyers and sellers ("Clients") informed as a transaction moves forward. It is a communication and organization tool — it is not a law firm, brokerage, lender, or title company, and nothing in the Service constitutes legal, financial, or lending advice. Any general informational content shown to Clients (such as explanations of earnest money, option periods, or standard disclosures) is provided for general guidance only; Realtors and Clients should rely on their own licensed professionals for advice specific to their transaction.
You must be at least 18 years old and using the Service in a professional real estate capacity to create a Realtor account. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. You're also responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter about your transactions and Clients.
Clients access the information a Realtor has entered through a private link, without creating a separate account. The Realtor controls what information is entered and shared through that link, and is responsible for having any consent from their Client needed to share that information through the Service.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly, unless otherwise stated) through Stripe, our payment processor. If a free trial is offered, your card will not be charged until the trial period ends, unless you cancel before then. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your billing settings — there's no long-term contract. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law.

Steps2Close may let you connect optional third-party tools, such as a CRM via a webhook you configure yourself. You're responsible for what you connect and for complying with that third party's own terms. We aren't responsible for the availability, accuracy, or handling of data by services outside our direct control.
Steps2Close, its logo, and its branding are the property of Steps2Close. The software, design, and content of the Service are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the transaction data and content you enter — you're just granting us the ability to store and display it back to you and the Clients you invite, as part of providing the Service.
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular transaction outcome will result from using it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steps2Close will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or is used in a way that puts the Service or other users at risk.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
